Olympic Inspiration to learn English

It’s quite likely that the 2012 London Olympic Games are still in your memory and you remember the great moments that you had while watching the athletes. Some of non-native English speakers’ athletes liked London so much that they’ve decided to go back and learn English in London!

One of these athletes is double Olympic champion Ilya Ilin. Ilya is a Kazakhstani weightlifter, who broke two world records on the way to retaining his Olympic gold medal in the men's 94kg.



After smashing his sporting targets last year, Ilya revealed his next personal goal was to learn to speak English. As Ilya is constantly travelling around the World, he wants to learn English because it can open new doors for friendships and professional connections. To achieve this, he will take a 10-week long general English course, which is a semi-intensive program that focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
